Davy Jones had a website written in PHP which required porting to a CMS (Drupal) so that he could be in charge of the content himself (editing "static" pages, blogging, and uploading multimedia content). He also had a separate blog on Blogger.com, and all entries and comments from this needed to be imported into the native Drupal blogging platform. The Drupal theme was to match exactly his previous website design.
Some PHP features of the previous site were retained (for example, a page displaying an iCal feed, and a feed of bookmarks from del.ico.us). No need to reinvent the wheel!
